Below you will find a directory of Hye-Jin's Tale (revised December 2003), a story about a North Korean soldier who meets a South Korean woman, and their adventure.
The story is based on a 1996 incident where a North Korean spy submarine ran aground on the east coast of South Korea. There are 12 chapters, each in PDF (adobe portable document format), including comprehension questions.
I have also compiled from the WWW a 23-page pdf file about the submarine incident and the status of life in North Korea.
